Girl's Image is a 16 hand 12 year old registered Thoroughbred bay mare. Image raced successfully (allowance winner and 4th in a stakes race) before retiring. We got her and retrained her and evented her at a couple of schooling events at the BN level. We had planned to sell her, but in the end, were too impressed with her excellent nature, beautiful build, and fantastic feet to sell her, and we turned her into a broodmare. Unfortunately, she has had 5 pregnancies and only one live foal. The veterinarians all agree that there is nothing we can do differently and that she would be best off as a riding horse. She lost her last foal about a couple of months ago and has been back into work for about a month. She is nearly unequalled in sense and rideability (which is why we were using her as a broodmare). After having had 5 years without being ridden, we just hopped on her and put her through her paces. Her manners were perfect and she did everything we asked (though of course she is a little rusty). She is an excellent hack, alone or in company, and as honest and brave as you can get over fences. She is very light in the bridle and easy to put together. She is a mild head shaker. This condition has not gotten worse in the 7 years we have owned her, but it is something know. We have never done anything for her, nor does it affect her work. She is sound, healthy, and has great feet. She is very quiet and amateur friendly. SOLD
